Dr. Raja received his medical degree from the University of Chicago in 1992, after completing undergraduate studies at Princeton University.
Dr. Raja completed his ophthalmology residency at Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Following his training, he served as a major in the Medical Corps of the United States Air Force and was a Staff Ophthalmologist at Fort Dix in New Jersey. After working in private practice, Dr. Raja completed a fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at the Wilmer Eye Institute. Dr. Raja is a member of the American Society of Retinal Specialists as well as the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Medical Examiners and is certified by the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Raja has published extensively on macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy and also lectures to physicians as well as to members of the community.
Dr. Raja joined Retina & Vitreous Consultants of Wisconsin, Ltd., in 2001 and continues to enjoy working with his patients and providing them with quality care.
