Dr. Daniel Kim received his medical degree from the Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont after completing undergraduate studies at the University of California, Irvine.

Dr. Kim completed his ophthalmology residency at Henry Ford Health Systems in Detroit. Following his residency, Dr. Kim completed a two year fellowship in vitreoretinal diseases at the West Virginia University Eye Institute. During this fellowship Dr. Kim was also a Comprehensive Ophthalmology Clinical Instructor and enjoyed teaching resident physicians in the University’s residency program.

Dr. Kim is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Dr. Kim is also a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology as well as the American Society of Retina Specialists.

Dr. Kim has published several articles and book chapters as well as given presentations at national ophthalmology conferences. Dr. Kim has been a sub-investigator for 10 clinical trials for new treatments related to Neovascular Age Related Macular Degeneration, Diabetic Macular Edema, and Retinopathy of Prematurity.

Dr. Kim joined Retina & Vitreous Consultants of WI, Ltd., in 2018 and enjoys being back in the Midwest and in Wisconsin. Dr. Kim works with his patients and their doctors to provide personalized quality care for diseases of the retina and vitreous.
